OVO Foundation is delighted to appoint a new trustee, Phil Kerry, to join our board. Phil has spent his career supporting young people through education and youth work in the UK as well as internationally as a VSO volunteer in Eritrea. He’s the Chief Executive of New Horizon Youth Centre, a day centre working with young people who are vulnerable, homeless or at risk. Previously, Phil has held a number of senior management positions within the charity sector.
Phil describes himself as an optimist pragmatist and remains ambitious to change the system for homeless young people. He acknowledges that with this ambition comes a need to work through a number of complex obstacles but is ready for the challenge. He will therefore add invaluable guidance for our Future Builders programme, which takes an innovative approach to providing affordable accommodation for young people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
The trustees collectively hold a wide range of expertise and skills, and Phil will undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience and passion to the Foundation. We’re delighted to welcome him on board!
